Call for Entries

2012 Corporate Financial Social Responsibility Awards

1. All entries must be from a bona-fide financial institution operating in Mainland China that tries to do achieve a mission of social responsibility and financially sustainability.
2. Financial institutions include banks, insurance companies, venture capital and private equity firms, asset managers, and other financial institutions
3. Entry should be a project or program that the applicant has undertaken or is undertaking at present. Future projects will not be eligible.
4. A financial institution may submit only one entry.
5. The entry should follow the format summarized below.
6. Submissions should be sent to acheng@iihongkong.com; Deadline of Entry: 15 Sept 2012 at 6p.m. (Beijing Time)
Entry Format
1. Introduction:
    a. Name of Company Applicant
    b. Person-in-charge; Title; Position
    c. Contact Address; email; telephone
    d. Summary of Company Mission
    e. How Project advances and supports the Company Mission
2. Summary of Project and/or Program:
    a. When was it undertaken:
    b. Description of the project/program: (400 words maximum)
    c. Role of Applicant
    d. Provide basic financial metrics: Amount of Capital/ Loan/Investment involved; profitability; ROI; as well as qualitative such as new product, brand enhancement, new market development, etc…
3. Summary of the Innovation elements of the Project: Why should it be considered innovative (this can be from perspective of: approach, new product, business model, new system etc…);
4. Summary of the Social Benefits and Impact (in terms of human dignity, poverty alleviation, community development…)
5. Summary of the Environmental Benefits and Impact (in terms of carbon reduction, or its support to achieving 12th 5-year plan targets)
6. Summary of Best Practices in Governance & Stakeholder Relationship applied to the Project/Program
7. How Scalable is the Project/Program

    虽然改革开放只有30年的历程,中国的金融界已经排在全球的前列了。除了中国央行的3万两千亿美金外汇储备以外，中国老百姓在银行里的存款超过14万亿美金，股票市场也有2.3万亿美元的资产。虽然这么多资产都存在中国银行、券商以及其他金融机构里，但这些财富最终还是属于老百姓的。
    这就是为什么“机构投资者在线”要发起中国首次金融界社会责任和可继续发展大奖赛。我们希望在中国的崛起过程中，中国金融界可以在其中扮演一个对社会负责任的角色。
    欧美市场有超过百年的资本主义制度来为其助力，可是在近年来却频频出现失误，失去了其最初为人民服务的理念，我们不希望中国的金融界丧失这种责任心。如果您本人在金融机构工作，或者您的朋友在某金融机构就职，我们衷心希望您可以推荐贵机构的负责单位来参加本次赛事。具体内容请参照如下：

参赛须知

2012年金融企业社会责任奖

1、所有参赛项目必须是来自中国大陆、以实现社会责任和经济可持续发展为使命的慈善金融机构。
2、金融机构包括：银行、保险公司、风险投资、私募股权公司和资产管理公司及其它金融机构等。
3、参赛项目必须是申请公司已经或者正在开展的方案或项目，未来的项目不符合参赛条件。
4、每家金融机构仅限提交一个项目。
5、该项目需遵循以下格式做出总结。（请参照下文）
6、参赛项目及内容请发送至acheng@iihongkong.com；截止日期：2012年9月15日，下午6点（北京时间）。

参赛格式：
1、项目介绍：
    a.申请企业名称；
    b.项目负责人及职称、职务；
    c.联系方式：邮箱、电话等；
    d.企业使命概述；
    e.项目的进展以及其如何进一步完善企业使命阐述。

2、项目或方案概要
    a.实施时间；
    b.项目/方案说明（400字以内）；
    c.申请项目发挥的作用；
    d.提供基本财务指标：涉及资本/贷款/投资金额；盈利；投资回报率；以及相关定性分析，如，新的产品、品牌提升以及新市场的开发等。

3、请概述该项目的创新元素：被视为创新的理由（可从这些视角来阐述：采用方法，新产品，商业模式及新的体制等）；
4、请概述其带来的社会效益和影响（有关人性尊严、扶贫工作和社区发展等）；
5、请概述其带来的环境效益和影响（如，减少碳排放，或对实现“十二五计划”目标的支持等）；
6、请概述在项目申请过程中，能够表现出公司治理和利益相关者关系的最佳实践；
7、该项目的可扩展性。
